Bodhi Linux
Welcome to the Bodhi Linux Showcase – a dedicated website exploring one of the most elegant and efficient Linux distributions available today.

About Project
This project has been created to present Bodhi Linux in a clean, modern, and informative way. It covers the distribution’s history, standout features, market position, strengths and weaknesses, and compliance with open-source principles.
The design follows Bodhi’s own philosophy: minimal yet powerful, fast-loading, and focused on content rather than unnecessary decoration. Built with WordPress, the site includes rich media — screenshots, diagrams, videos, and original content — to help visitors quickly understand why Bodhi remains a favourite among lightweight Linux enthusiasts.

About Author
My name is Olena Shubina (student ID: G00485547).
I'm a student doing the H.Dip. in Science (Software Development) at ATU, Ireland.
Having a strong interest in open-source software and system optimisation, efficient operating systems, I found Bodhi Linux perfectly balanced between minimal resource usage and beautiful, customizable design.
Through this project, I wanted to genuinely share what makes Bodhi special to users who value performance, simplicity, and freedom of choice and give you some analytics.

Bodhi Linux
Bodhi Linux is a lightweight, Ubuntu-based Linux distribution that uses the Moksha desktop environment — a refined and stable fork of the Enlightenment desktop.
Its name comes from the Sanskrit word “bodhi”, meaning enlightenment — reflecting both its clean aesthetic and the clarity it brings to computing on modest hardware.
Today Bodhi remains actively maintained by a small, dedicated team and continues to appeal to users who want speed, elegance, and a bloat-free experience in 2026 and beyond.
